एक सय बिस (१२०) बर्षको उमेरमा झ्याईंकुटी झ्याईं पारे।



बुढापाकाले दशैँमा टिका लगाइदिँदा विशासय आयु होस् वा एकसय बिस वर्ष बाँचेस् भनेर आशिक दिन्छन् । त्यसैले मान्छेका लागि १ सय २० वर्ष बाँच्नु पनि भाग्यकै कुरा हो । तर भारतको असमका एक मानिस भने एक सय बिस वर्षम्म बाँचेका मात्र छैनन् उनले त यो उमेरमा बिहे गरेर सबैलाई अचम्ममा पारेका छन् ।

करिमगञ्जको सतघोरी गाउँका मीत हाजी अब्दुल नूरले १ सय २० वर्षो उमेरमा बिहे गरेका हुन् । यति धेरै बुढाले कुन उमेरकी दुलही भित्राएका होलान् भन्ने जिज्ञासा सबैमा उत्पन्न हुनसक्छ । उनले आफ्नो उमेरको अनुपातमा साँच्चीकै तरुनी बेहुली पाएका छन । नूरले आफुभन्दा आधा उमेर कान्छी अर्थात् ६० वर्षी महिलासँग झ्याइँ पारेका हुन् । बिहेमा उत्तर त्रिपुराको फूलबारी गाउँका सामोइ बीबी ६ बीस उमेर कटेको मान्छेलाई लोग्नेको रुपमा पाउँदा खुसी देखिन्थिन् । बिबाह समारोह भव्य भएको थियो र झण्डै ५ सय जना पाहुनालाई निम्तो गरिएको थियो ।

नूरले मतदाता सूचिमा आफ्नो उमेर १ सय १६ वर्षउल्लेख भएपनि आफ्नो खास उमेर १ सय २० वर्षरहेको बताए । पहिली श्रीमतीको ६ वर्षघि निधन भएलगत्तै नूरले दोश्रो बिहे गर्न खोजेका थिए । तर डाँडापारीको जून भएको मान्छेलाई कसले छोरी दिन्थ्यो र – तर इश्वरले जोडि जुराइदिएपछि के लाग्छ । पहिले बिहे गरेको लोग्ने मरेर विधवा बनेकी र छोराछोरी नभएकी बीबीको भाग्यमा दोश्रो लोग्नेको रुपमा नूरलाई पाउन लेखेको रहेछ । पहिली श्रीमतीबाट २ छोरा, ४ छोरी तथा थुप्रै नातिनातिमा र पनाती पनातिना गरी १ सय २२ जना सन्तती रहेका नूर दोश्री श्रीमतीबाट पनि वंश वृद्धि गर्न अब सक्षम छैनन् । तर बुढेशकालको सहारा भने अवश्य पाएका छन् । बुवाले सानिमा भित्राएकोमा नूराका छोराछोरी निकै खुसी छन् ।"

120-year-old man marries 60-year-old woman in Assam

Guwahati, Oct 29 (PTI) Age has been no bar for 120-year-old Hazi Abdul Noor who married a woman half his age in Assam's Karimganj district. Noor tied the knot again with 60-year-old Samoi Bibi at Satghori village, that was witnessed by 500 guests and his large family of over 100 members. A smiling Noor nodded his head in confirmation when Maulana Khairuzzaman asked for 'kubool' (agree) as sweets got distributed in the recently-held wedding. After the death of his first wife Salima Khatun at the age of 80 in 2005, Noor had been telling his sons to find him another one as he needed someone to take care of him, his eldest son and retired teacher Hazi Azir Uddin said.

Displaying documents about his age, Noor, who was a contractor during the British regime in southern Assam, said though he was 120 years old, his age in the electoral voters list was 116 years. He heads a family of 122 members, including three daughters, two sons and several grandchildren, mostly married. His eldest child is a daughter aged 79. Hazi said, "We found a new mother, though she's half his age, with the help of match-maker Abdul Hamid of Tripura." Samoi Bibi was a resident of North Foolbari village in adjoining northern Tripura. Her husband had died a long time ago and she was childless, he said.
